Review of The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (2002) by Stacey B — 28 Feb 2009
I thought this film was amazing. The cast is great; Jena Malone and Emile Hirsch are always top-notch. Kieran Culkin is one of my favorite actors and easily one of the greatest actors of his generation (see Igby Goes Down for further proof of how amazing he is).
The story is funny and original, and what happens during the second half of the film is both unexpected and brilliantly poignant. I'd watch this film again in a heartbeat.
