You don't have to be a soccer fan to like this one; anyone who likes sports movies will enjoy it. Less about the game and more about one man's overarching ambition and egomania, the cost to him and those around him, as well as a nice chunk of history of England and "the beautiful game.
" Great performances by Sheen, Broadbent, and Meaney.
