A semi-factual account of Brian Clough's 44-day stint as the coach of the Leeds United soccer team. After taking the second-tier Derby club to the championship, Clough is handed the reins of the storied Leeds franchise. In a classic tale of hubris, he becomes too ambitious, discards his trusted friends, and loses the faith of his bosses and his players.
It's a solid little soccer movie and very well put together. Michael Sheen has established himself as the king of British biopics, and he doesn't disappoint here.
