Review of The Damned United (2009) by Steve F — 10 Jan 2010

One of the best football films I have seen. Michael Sheen is brilliant as Cloughie and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. At times sad, funny and moving. I do feel that the only real issue I had was that it over amplifies the relationship Cloughie had with Don Revie.

Clearly, this has been exaggerated for poetic licence. Anyone who has read the book would agree with this. However, this doesn't really take away from the fact it is a great depiction of his time at Leeds and really showed how much different 70's football was to what it is today.

Any football fan has to see this film.
