Review of The Damned United (2009) by Lone W — 18 Jul 2010
I've been wanting to see this since I first heard about it, and it didn't disappoint. It is rather strange how the chronology is handled, popping backwards and forwards between 1967-1974, but it works well enough.
The 1970s ambience is very well done and feels almost like you're watching a 1970s film throughout. It may only appeal to a narrow band of the audience, but if you like football or football history and have even a vague recollection of Brian Clough, Leeds or Nottingham Forest, you are sure to enjoy this.
