Review of The Damned United (2009) by Adam B — 03 Sep 2010

Good ol' 70's football, back when you were allowed to tackle and it wasn't all about being a celebrity! Anyways, this was just as good as I expected. Michael Sheen is, as always brilliant. He is such a versatile actor, for him to play one of the most outrageous and controversial football managers in history and get it nearly spot on is a great job.

Besides Michael Sheen's acting, the film is also very well put together. It's got quite a dark mood to it, as if the whole world is in a depression which just portrays the fact that it wasn't clough's finest hour by any means.

It's enjoyable for football fans, and I reckon the story is interesting enough for non football fans to enjoy it too.
