Review of The Damned United (2009) by Chris P — 05 Nov 2010
Interesting for me as a football fan. Usual impressive Michael Sheen performance. Hes like a film version of Alistair Mcgowan. And a talented version. His relationship with Timothy Spall becomes a touch fruity.
Jim Broadbent is really really good as the chairman. But in my heart he'll always be Slater!! The dude who plays Don Revie is impressive too. I'm a bit unsure of Billy Bremner and the other footballers.
Reminded me of the Mike Bassett players - comical. Anyhow, intriging, entertaining and makes you want Sheen and co to do another film about a different era in Clough's life. Maybe when he was punching them Forest fans .
