Tom Hooper is one of the most meticulous directors working today... Having met him at the Q&A for THE KING'S SPEECH I want to see his entirenbody of work. I generally have little patience for sports flux, much less about footie, but, as billed, this is a gem.
In a sense it was aided by the fact that I know nothing about the sport, or the politics of provincial soccer in the UK. But as Michael Sheen performs this headstrong coach,its fascinating... A study in ego and ambition.
