Review of The Damned Don't Cry (1950) by Mark S — 30 Dec 2011
I think many Joan Crawford - and Warner Brothers - films of this period must have followed a similar but effective formula, starting at the end and then going back to show how this dramatic point was reached.
It's overwrought, bigger than real life and pretty predictable, but it plays to its star's strong points and is quite an enjoyable watch.
