Review of The Dam Busters (1955) by Adam S — 06 Apr 2012
I enjoyed this movie, but at some points I felt it was overly long and drawn out. That, no doubt, is very much a product of the times with this movie.
It's a very strong, historically important story however, and some of the filmmaking techniques are brilliant (after all, it layed the groundwork for George Lucas' grand Battle of Yavin after all). Some of the scenes, particularly at the beginning and the end, were very memorable.
However, I am hoping to see this much talked about remake from Peter Jackson and Stephen Fry.
