Review of The Da Vinci Code (2006) by Stephen S — 03 Feb 2015
One of the most boring films I have ever had the displeasure of viewing. I have legitimately seen historical films in school that blow this film away in terms of entertainment value. Plus this film telegraphs the fuck out of everything like the audience is completely stupid.
Anyone with half a brain can see all the twists coming from a mile away. But for some reason, the film glosses over the complex historical elements like they're nothing, and has an obsession with unimportant plot points, like the stupid tomb of Mary Magdalen, which no one in the audience cares about.
So, altogether, this film leaves the audience bored as fuck and horribly confused at the same time. Good job, Ron Howard...you really fucked this one up.
