Review of The Da Vinci Code (2006) by Nik M — 12 Jun 2013
Not that Dan Brown's novel was a masterpiece at heart, it did mean well in philosophical thought including historical conspiracies and how much deeper can you get than the biggest icon in historical figures, Jesus Christ himself? That being said, the only odd interest here is how the film develops as a lecture.
It keeps the information coming as the characters are going, but where the characters are going are more interesting than much of anything else in the film. Who are these characters? Why are they passionate of this historical stuff? Why does it matter? Answers to these questions would be nice if the story itself left much room for whole-hearted characters in the first place.
