Review of The Cutting Edge (1992) by Odessa L — 28 Aug 2009
Kind of like Dirty Dancing on ice, or to a much lesser extent the horrificly dated Footloose, Cutting Edge is a somewhat by-the-numbers romantic drama with a very memorable ending. What could have been a basic romance film is enhanced greatly by the chemistry between D.
B. Sweeney and doe-eyed Moira Kelly, one of the cutest girls ever. Even though its cheesy, and totally predictable, I still catch myself watching it at least once a month, and its very fun to watch. Also to note, it's directed by the original Starsky from Starsky & Hutch, also the director of one of my favorite Schwarzenegger films, The Running Man.
