Review of The Curse of the Cat People (1944) by Jarett B — 14 Sep 2010
I just couldn't get involved in the psychological plot that was emerging (verrrry slowly) throughout. Simone Simon was fantastic as the little child and had great presence, but beside her, there was little to nothing going on.
I feel that all the plot development exploded in the last 20-15 minutes, making for some great moments. I appreciate the film for not resulting to any scare tactics or cheep tricks. I suppose I just could have used a little injection of fuel to get me to the end.
