Review of The Curse of the Cat People (1944) by Dan B — 13 Dec 2011
Curious quasi-sequel that reuses the characters from Cat People, but none of the turning-into-a-panther shenanigans, and is instead a gentle ghost story about the loneliness of childhood. It's not for everyone, as precious little actually happens, but it does have a certain otherworldly charm for Lewton fans.
(And is of minor interest for being Robert Wise's first (co) director credit.).
