Michael Shannon almost saves this bland movie with a toothless script. I love Benidict Cumberbatch. He is a great actor who has been in all good movies. Except for this one. The Current War is about three historical figures and their defaults.
The good idea is drowned out by lazy camerawork, a bland script and unbelievable events. The Current War may not be the worst movie of the year, but is far from the best. 3/10.
