Review of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) by Skye B — 26 Sep 2012

What a loose canon, shooting aimlessly at imaginary targets past the clouds where no-one, including cast and creator, knows what the hell the point is. And to top it, it's boring and empty and riddled with continuity issues (at every age the characters' eye colours are different from the previous age, for starters) and sub-plots and stories that have (as mentioned by the director in his notes) been added because they felt like it, thus delivering scenes that have nothing to do with the film, but actually are just 'pretty' and therefore are included.

A downright hot mess, a shame of Blanchett and Swinton's CV's and it highly overestimates Pitt's ability. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Brad Pitt, but sometimes you overstep the mark with estimating an actors ability.
