Review of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) by Raul M — 18 Jan 2014
A well-crafted movie that could have been even better but unfortunately dragged on for far too long. The rest of the film couldn't measure up to its charming and whimsical first act. As the film chugs forward and old-baby Brad Pitt de-ages to good-looking, youthful Brad Pitt, it loses that spark.
By the end of the film you start to wonder what the point of him aging backwards was besides it being an interesting story gimmick. Worth seeing, particularly for the incredible cinematography and interesting premise (although it wasn't delivered to its full potential), but make sure you have the time and patience for it.
