Review of The Cure (1995) by Jeremy C — 24 Jun 2010
I've always been a fan of Joseph Mazzello's acting. Having said that, this movie is something you would see on TV. I understand that during the mid 90's the AIDS topic was hot, but the movie presents facts and myths in a very "you're an idiot" type of way.
A valiant effort, but ultimately cheesy. On a side note, I noticed that the soundtrack was composed by Dave Grusin...don't get me wrong, I love the guy and what he's contributed to fusion jazz, but I don't think he's "score composer material".
It just added to the movie's awkwardness.
