Review of The Crying Game (1992) by Bill N — 05 Apr 2009
'The Crying Game' is a difficult film to review. It is obviously driven by its powerful performances and Academy Award winning script, but at the same time the plot feels oddly disjointed. Nonetheless, and even if you already know the 'infamous' twist, it is worth watching, both as an excellent multi-layered political thriller, but also as one of the films which helped kick-start the independent film revolution.
