Review of The Crying Game (1992) by Archibald T — 22 Mar 2011
It's kind of interesting when you watch a film and you think it's going to be one thing when it turns out to be something else entirely. This is one of those films. I knew about "the secret" in this film before viewing.
I was still surprised either way. Great writing and acting from Whitaker and Rea in those first 30 minutes. I still get chills when Whitaker takes off running and Rea chases after him. A great moment that symbolizes their relationship or what could have been one if Rea wasn't working for the IRA.
