(1992) The Crying Game.

THRILLER.

A group iof IRA men kidnap an African British soldier for IRA reasons of course, while in the hideout and checking him up, one of the men by the name of Fergus played by Stephen Rea start to build a rapport with the kidnapped soldier Jody played by Forest Whitaker and tells him that if he were to die to inform his girlfriend about it and submits him a picture, whose really a transvistite!

All I can say is that before going into this film, I had alot of misconceptions about this film because the IRA fascinates me for I actually believed in the hype and assumed that it was going to be a fictional suspensful IRA heist type of film with lots of bombings and killings at the same time, already aware about the woman who really is a man! It was interesting on the first hour but when the film focuses too much on the relationship between Jody's supposedly girlfriend and Stephen Rea- I was like you can do the same for any other character with different traits as well and that the film offered nothing significent about this!

But as a result of this film Stephen Rea has never really solidified his full acting status yet because people who had seen him do in this film!

This is the best rating I can give it despite winning many awards!

2 out of 4.
