Review of The Crucible (1996) by Alan J — 18 Feb 2008
The play is so good that I remember reading it when I was like 14 and being impressed with the rising conflict within each scene (this of course was many years before I had the slightest idea what the fuck rising conflict was).
I'm quite fond of this adaptation - production design, performances, direction, cinematography, it's all top-notch. It still does feel somewhat like an adaptation of a play, though.
