Review of The Crucible (1996) by Manal S — 27 Mar 2011
First time to see it and first time to know about the Salem Witch Trials. It was a little bit over-dramatized, but this is somehow tolerable since the film is based on an Arthur Miller play and its screenplay is written by Miller himself.
The idea of manipulating people's religious beliefs for personal ends is truly important and could relate to many countries and political/religious groups. The acting was taken to extreme sometimes but as I mentioned it is a play turned movie after all.
