Review of The Crucible (1996) by Isaac A — 14 Jun 2011
So..I am teaching the play this year and I just finished reading the play the other day. The movie? It's ok. Some parts are really well done and Scofield, Lewis, Allen, and Davison all hit the right note.
Then there is Ryder. Really? There are moments when it seems they took a teenager from the 20th century and dropped here into the 17th century. And then the immature side of me kept going..Hey, it's the principal from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
