Review of The Crowd (1928) by Jeff B — 26 Nov 2007
I finally caught King Vidor's silent from 1928. Some pretty amazing scenes throughout, including that awesome shot of the workplace and everyone at their desks. I also loved the scene when he's walking into the hospital to see his wife.
This is the third classic silent film I've seen where a couple goes out to the carnival on a date, that must have been the thing back then. I wish they still had those giant slides and that spinning floor thing, they did both of those things in The Crowd and in It.
Anyway, it's a good movie that's sort of a must for film buffs.
