Spoilers Ahead:
They really tried to make this one work, but in the end it just turned out to be a watered down badly acted version of the first. I thought it was going to be different with Sarah's role, I thought oh love story between Ashe and Sarah, that's a new twist. Just turned out to be a dud. All in all they should have just left it at the first one.
