Review of The Crow (1994) by Lewis E — 26 Oct 2011
Back from the dead revenge film which does it nicely by making the story simple and concentrating on the mayhem the protagonist inflicts on the gang that caused his and his fiance's demise. The modern style action films lead me to expect more violence but to be honest it is gruesome enough.
One of the strogest points of the film is that it sustains a dark gothic style setting and tone (a good resemblence of Gotham City, adding that the main guy looks like the Joker) which perfectly incapulates the story.
Maybe a lack of variation within the action sequences and a perhaps weak final battle loses points.
