Review of The Crow (1994) by Kevin M — 16 Jul 2012
This film is a masterpiece of it's genre. It's up there with The Dark Knight, Superman (1978) and Batman (1989) as the best comic book films. Brandon Lee have the performance of his career that was ended way to earlier by sheer stupidty, and showed what acting chops he really had.
Ernie Hudson, Michael Wincott, and Rochelle Davis lead the supporting cast with memorable efforts, and the directing by Alex Proyas is superb. The music in the film is done by Gramae Revell who deserved an oscar and the soundtrack revolutionized the industry.
It's a shame the sequels never followed was good or original as this film was because the series could have been great.
