Review of The Crow (1994) by Adam S — 20 May 2012
"The Crow" is definitely not your average comic book adaptation.
Brandon Lee performs extremely well as the titular anti-hero, and the Gothic scene created by director Alex Proyas is very well made.
I'd have liked to see this movie with ignorance of Brandon Lee's extremely unfortunate fate however - definitely not the fault of the film-maker, but I found my mind slightly repelled by the morbid tale throughout the movie, and it made me slightly uncomfortable.
But it was only minor. RIP Brandon Lee, this movie is a suitable memorial to you.
