Review of The Crow (1994) by Alexia C — 01 Aug 2014
While this movie isn't exactly flawless - a few too many plots and extra scenes with exceedingly minor characters make it feel a tad flabby - the story of walking the fine line between revenge and justice has proven timeless.
Brandon Lee's performance is haunting, made even moreso by his untimely death while filming. And this film is definitely something of a time capsule of the underground grunge/goth scene of the decade, the soundtrack including the likes of The Cure and others of the era.
The special effects have aged reasonably well, and overall this film holds up to a modern viewer. I'll be expecting a remake a là Robocop any day now.
