Review of The Crossing Guard (1995) by Ginose P — 17 Jun 2008
I have now seen all 4 of Sean Penn's directorial efforts, and I must say that Penn is sadly only 1 for 4. Into the Wild is an amazing movie, a true masterpiece, but everything else by Sean Penn is utterly boring and uninteresting altogether.
Nicholson has a few good moments, Morse would be very good if he had a decent haircut, but the movie just fails to do anything interesting. Luckily, Into the Wild is Penn's most recent, so maybe he's lef his crap behind him and moved on, but this was not a good movie.
