Review of The Crimson Rivers (2000) by Sam T — 19 May 2008
What a messed up screenplay. The plot was terribly convoluted. The writers threw every genre they could think of, into this movie. One moment it's a horror film, the next moment a martial arts movie, a love story, a buddy film; you name it, it was there.
The crazy leaps of logic and the twist at the end made absolutely no sense. Still, Jean Reno and Vincent Cassel were fun to watch and the real star: The Swiss Alps, were exquisite. There was just enough creepiness to keep me awake.
