Review of The Crime of Padre Amaro (2002) by Cynthia C — 16 Jun 2007
Within the setting of the Catholic church, this solemn, classic-style tale (based on an 1875 novel) is really about truth and integrity, or more so the lack thereof. The characters can be analogized to real-life people in many other professions and situations, and that is what makes the story so unsettling.
