Review of The Creature Walks Among Us (1956) by Andy S — 09 Mar 2012
The Creature From the Black Lagoon once once again runs afoul of mankind in this sequel. This time his gills are damaged in a fire and the monster is forced to live in the unfamiliar terrain of dry land.
This, the third and final movie in the series, is the least thrilling yet also contains the most pathos. I have a soft spot for sympathetic monsters, and I found myself oddly touched by the Creature's primordial desire for the sea that is now forever closed off from him.
