Review of The Crazies (1973) by Walden P — 08 Nov 2007
Well, just looking at the movie poster, I thought I would love this film, but I was extremely let down. I figured there were crazy-ass epidemic-spreading people in haz-mat suits and gas masks, but it was quite the opposite.
There is another way the film could be viewed, which is a historical one - that of a racist society at war. However, I thought this was very low-grade Romero work with extremely bad acting and the editing was too pretentious and cocaine-fueled.
This might be a better remake than "Dawn of the Dead".
