In 2008 Kevin Pearce took the world by storm by taking the snowboarding crown from fellow 'extreme' athlete Shaun White. The sport became increasingly dangerous as both athletes practiced ever riskier tricks and stunts to train and compete for the top sporting accolades.
Kevin, in attempting to push the limits of his skills, catastrophically suffers a serious accident and major head trauma leading to a long term brain injury.
Against medical advice he becomes determined to overcome his disabilities and return to the sport that he loves.
