As a boy who grew up on a cattle ranch in west texas, this movie comes damn close to life on the range in the 1970's and the boys in the movie were some of the best ropers in reality, like J.D. Yeats who went on to become a world champion team roper.
right up there with Larry MacMurty in Lonesome Dove....
