I feel like this is another example of Glenn Ford's versatility and I'm continually amazed the he was never recognized for his work. The subtle depth he shows in this movie is stunning, he was really trying to work with a troubled, complex character.
Ron Howard is also amazing. He turns in such a great performance at such a young age.
