Benedict cumberbatch brought another level of spy characterization to 'smiley's world'. his accidental spy role is rather well acted and in the end this show humanized a spy. most of them out of the good of the world.
I was never a fan of his but I do know he is a good character actor. I quite like his 'fatter' self here, making this show rather watchable.
