Review of The Countess (2009) by Sherry Z — 12 Mar 2012
Quite an interesting portrayal of Lizbet Bathiry, one of Stoker's model for Dracula (see the book Dracula was a woman.). There are other portrayals of the blood countess, but this one does not go all cartoony and vampirey.
There is also the fact that the narrator casts doubt on the truthfulness of the entire story. This again pretty historically accurate. Still, the movie leaves more questions answered than unanswered. All in all a really good movie.
