After watching an interview with the real guy on the extras, feel like the movie was overly hollywoodized if a non american film can be hollywoodized. Similar to another holocaust movie that I can't remember the name of that focused on the Kapo aspect of jews in the camps in that it explores the moral concepts of weighing your own survival against moral conviction.
