Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Jason M — 21 May 2009
Compelling story with pretty good acting, settings, etc. The fact that it was based on a true story really helped "sell me.".
It tends to move along at a good clip. I would have liked to have seen a little more character development even if that meant a longer movie.
The movie also shows an interesting moral dilemma between being part of a greater society (Jews), part of a smaller group (the Jews in the same group working to counterfeit), and the moral compass in each Jew (right/wrong/survival above all else).
