Review of The Counselor (2013) by David L — 13 Feb 2014
Wrong:
1. Penelope Cruz thinking being fingered is a naughty naughty thing.
2. all the mexican jokes.
3. all the mexicans from the drug lord to the gas attendant all wax philosophical.
4. sephardic jew dialog in Amsterdam.
5. Cameron Diaz messing up the windshield (though she's pretty bad ass..evil c*nt).
The 2nd half of the movie was watchable, but the first half was just ridiculous and suffers from a bad screenplay -the pretentious dialogs and misuse of words. Ugh. And so much promise when I found out its done by Ridley Scott. Oh yeah, total Breaking Bad ripoff. Watch for the Hank cameo & Brad Pitt saying bye bye.
