Throw together a legendary director, a Pulitzer prize-winning screenwriter, and entire cast of Oscar-caliber actors, and what could possibly go wrong? Against almost insurmountable odds, everything.
The writing is pretentious and incoherent. The acting is soap opera quality. And the directing is...well, directionless.
There must be some lesson to be learned in this mess, but the movie killed so many of my brain cells that I can't figure out what it is.
