Review of The Counselor (2013) by Jonathan A — 13 May 2016

One of the most depressing movies ever. Having only seen the unrated cut of the film, I found myself quickly getting wrapped up in these characters due to the compelling performances on-display. My only real problem with the film, aside from it making me feel like taking a cleansing shower after, is the abrupt, sex scene opener.

I don't mind sex on-screen when there's a purpose to it, this was just 5 minutes of sheer awkwardness all-around (and these are attractive actors too).
