The Counselor needs serious counselling itself. It's an absolute mess of a movie, with the plot being aimless and confusing; the characters being so poorly developed that you consider them to be very boring stereotypes, and Ridley Scott's use of gore feeling unnecessary and misplaced.

This movie's tagline: 'Sin is a choice,' is actually a reference to the decision to make and release this movie.
