Review of The Counselor (2013) by El_Jacko — 08 May 2015

I understand the hate and completely see why many people hate this film. The storytelling is often clumsy and hard to follow, the dialogue is occasionally wooden and the whole movie is unwaveringly bleak.

However, I found that the actors all gave great performances, the dialogue, for all its woodeness, was generally exceptionally compelling and the second half is vastly entertaining in the way it depicts Fassbender, Bardem and Pitt's worlds collapse around them.
