Review of The Cotton Club (1984) by Mary G — 29 May 2011
A fun, romantic look at the '20s gangster/speakeasy scene. It features Richard Gere and Diane Lane's first time teaming up and, wow, if you though she was gorgeous at nearly 40 wait until you see her at 19! Some great small parts from Bob Hoskins and Fred Gwynne.
A young Nicolas Cage does his best to try and ruin the movie, but to no avail. It's just a fun and entertaining film, all-around.
