Review of The Corporation (2003) by Andrew L — 28 Jul 2007
Market Fundamentalism as a theory is rooted in the expectation that citizens and the state will vigilantly cleave to the ethical principle of personal responsibility. The central institution of Market Fundamentalism is the corporation.
But the corporation only exists so that profit seekers can avoid full responsibility for the harms they cause. While you're scratching your head, they're making more bank deposits and jailing more peasants for being poor.
